Over his nearly four decades helping worldwide clients excel in the specialized arenas of corporate, securities and international law, Steven Sanders has earned a reputation for the high level of integrity, knowledge, and professionalism he brings to his field.  Steven’s attentive and proactive approach complements his ability to quickly solve problems and structure transactions to meet each client’s unique needs.

With clients spanning the globe from Eastern and Central Europe to Asia and Canada, Steven not only understands the intricate nature of international business, but can expertly resolve diverse issues between different people and countries.  He believes that after 37-plus years of experience, key to his successful track record is having the vital judgment and contacts necessary to bring deals together and complete the transactions.

A native New Yorker, Steven earned his B.B.A degree from the City College of New York and his Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School.  He pursued his interest in corporate and international law at major law firms until 1980. Steven subsequently opened and closed two of his own thriving firms before forming Sanders Ortoli Vaughn Flam Rosenstadt LLP several years ago.  The common thread throughout his career besides acute knowledge and dedication has always been the solid, trust-based relationships Steven has forged with clients who continually rely on his services and refer him business.

Steven is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Bar of the City of New York, where he previously served on the European Affairs Committee.  He also was the former Honorary Consul from the Republic of Moldova.  In addition to his commitment to Law, Steven sits on numerous for-profit boards of other companies including NaiKun Wind Energy Group, Inc., Helijet International, Inc., Op-Tech Environmental Services, Inc.

His deep appreciation for the arts also fuels Steven’s active involvement in the not-for-profit world, with board positions on the Roundabout Theatre Company, the largest non-profit theater in America, among others.  Steven is also a trustee of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Town Hall. He has been integral in raising funds for the theater as well as producing Off-Broadway plays.

On a personal note, Steven is a longtime Manhattan resident who takes full advantage of the city’s many cultural offerings.  He travels extensively, but enjoys spending quiet time at his country home in northwest Connecticut.  Steven is also an avid reader with a large book collection.
